We would like to extend a warm welcome to all our members and visitors for 2022.
We feel very proud and honoured to represent Skerries Golf Club as your Captains, which continues to develop its reputation as one of the finest golf courses in North County Dublin.
As Captains, we are supported by the Ladies and Men’s committees and the Committee of Management, without whom our Club would not be the success it is today. We are looking forward to us all working together to maintain our traditions and to taking the Club forward in the coming year.
We would like to express our deep appreciation and thanks to our volunteers who year after year give their time, skill and energy for the benefit of Skerries Golf Club.
The course itself is an excellent parkland course, very much enjoyed by our members and guests throughout the summer and winter seasons. All this would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our Club staff, course management team, office staff, as well as our cleaning and maintenance teams, so thank you all for your tremendous support.
There is always a warm welcome at the Club from the Pro Shop and our resident professional Bobby Kinsella is always on hand to provide assistance. We wish to extend continued success to our caterer along with his kitchen, dining and bar staff who will be taking care of you with a great selection of food and drink.
Along with our junior captains, Ng’endo Chege and Jamie Campbell, we hope to continue the work that the outgoing Captains Ailish and Declan have done to progress and support the next generation of golfers through our Junior Club and ensure their place in the Club.
Moving forward into the new season, we hope that this year’s golf will be uninterrupted and that the Club can provide the best on and off course experience. We are also looking forward to our teams taking part in all inter-club competitions.
It’s only after the last 18 months we have just had, that you realise how important golf is to us all. We have missed out not only on all the great friends and companionship we have through golf, but also on our social calendar. So with the lifting of restrictions and a return to normality, we hope you will join us for our many exciting social events over the coming year.
We also hope to have the opportunity to meet with new and existing members over the coming months either on the course or in our lovely Club House.
Finally, to all, we wish you good golf and good health and our wish is that every member and visitor has a great and enjoyable golfing year in 2022.
Mary & Chris
