Course

Founded in 1905, Skerries Golf Club is home to an 18-hole parkland golf course located in Hacketstown on the edge of Skerries town, less than six miles from the main Dublin–Belfast road (M1) and just twenty-five minutes from Dublin airport.

A Par 73 for the men and a Par 74 for the ladies, the course itself measures 6116m and 5284m respectively from the medal tees. Renowned for its tough opening holes and finishing stretch, undulating terrain and fast greens, the course has an abundance of varied and mature trees which add to the challenge presented and give great definition to each of the holes.
The stunning panoramic views from the top of the golf course stretching as far as the Mourne Mountains on a clear day add to the charm of place and can provide some much needed relief to the golfer after the challenge of the first few holes.
Originally opened as 9-hole layout in 1906, the course has undergone many changes and upgrades over the years, extending to an 18-hole course in 1971 under the direction of renowned Irish golf course architect Eddie Hackett.

Further improvements and enhancements to the golf course are envisaged in the coming years as part of the Golf Club’s strategic review.

Facilities include a practice ground, a soon to be state-of-the-art short game area, a putting green and nets and warm-up facilities.
