It is a great privilege to serve as Captains of Skerries Golf Club in 2026, and to be the first to do so under the One Club structure. This marks an important step forward for our Club and reflects the unity, shared purpose and positive momentum that continues to shape Skerries.
Our focus for the year is firmly on One Club, fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and belonging, where every member feels represented, valued and proud of their Club. We want Skerries to remain a place where golf is enjoyed at all levels, friendships are strengthened, and members feel connected both on and off the course.
The course continues to be presented to a high standard, and we extend our thanks to everyone involved in its care and presentation. We are equally grateful for the professional support structure in place, which plays a vital role in the enjoyment and development of golf across the membership.
Looking ahead, 2026 will see continued investment in the Club, including significant progress on the new irrigation system and planned clubhouse refurbishment works. These projects, alongside the dedication of our committees and volunteers, demonstrate a shared commitment to improving the playing experience and strengthening the social heart of Skerries Golf Club.
We would like to thank all those who give their time and energy to the Club. Volunteers have always been the backbone of Skerries, and their commitment continues to shape the character and future of our community.
