What a great buzz around the Club House last night, with the Presentation of the Mixed Final and then the Grand Prize Draw.

Over a hundred and forty dined ahead of the draw, it was great to see!

Congratulations to Fionnuala and Kevin Mooney on winning the Mixed, I was told Kevin played quite well by Fionnuala’s standards! However, none of it would be possible without the two power houses behind the Mixed, namely Martina and Joe Hilliard – well done to you both, a sentiment truly echoed by the two Captains Dominic and Ciara all present.

Then it was onto the Grand Prize, and the top four prize winners were –

*1st Prize 5000€ – Fintan Price

*2nd Prize 2000€ – Martin Lennox

*3rd Prize 1000€ – Harry Cox

*4th Prize – PowaKaddy Trolley – Liam Cotter

On behalf of the Fundraising Committee (Daire Hassett, Chairman – Tom McDonnell, Jim McDonnell, John McDonnell and General Manager Mark Gannon) may we thank all those who helped sell tickets; the various sponsors – namely The Sugar Club, Red Island Wines, Eddie Rockets – the Square, Stoops, The Man O’War, Shankeys, Olives, Supervalu and Di Vino; but especially those who bought tickets and supported the Club in this fundraising initiative.

Just over 400 tickets were sold which is great achievement.
