Congratulations to Jeff Sexton on winning the best net in the Carlow Boys Scratch Cup on 12th August.
Not only that but he also had a hole-in-one on the 13th during his round.
Also, Jeff finished 2nd in the Philip Walton Scratch cup in the Island GC last week with a gross score of 76 (+6), narrowly losing out by one shot.
Well done Jeff, you’re a great ambassador for our club and we’re delighted to see these fantastic results!

The World Handicap System, a new and different way of administering and applying our handicaps, will commence in less than two weeks – 2nd November.

A great collection of photos capturing the occasion of the 2020 Captains’ Drive-In and the very enjoyable celebrations
on winning Peter Lamont’s Captain’s Prize for 2019 with a fantastic 24 hole aggregate net score of 94. The weather was great on Saturday but the course played long and tough. Our photo shows Seamus putting out to win on the 18th with playing partners Kenny Hay and Jimmy Chawke.
Best Junior on the day was Jeff Sexton, a young man with a great golfing future ahead of him, who also shot 94 – a very impressive score.
Well done to all our Juniors on a great Summer of golf in 2019.
Captains, Peter and Maire, were delighted to present the prizes and to thank them for representing the Club so well. They also gave special mention to the Junior conveners, Elaine and Jim, and their teams.
