Team managers are starting the selection process for our Inter-club team matches. Our aim this year is to have larger stronger panels. You can help with this, please put yourself forward for teams that suit your handicap range.
You can do this by contacting the office or by contacting Team Managers Directly or you can now also use our V1 Member App.
Select the Menu tab on your app and select Club Teams as per the image below.
Select the Team that interests you and that suits your Handicap Index
View the Team details to get all information on the competition type.
Click apply now. The Team manager will able to see all applicants that are interested in being considered for a panel.

Dear Members
Interclub golf competitions will shortly be commencing for the 2024 season. This year we are hoping that Skerries Golf Club can get a good run in a number of the competitions, maybe even reach a final and bring some silverware home to the club.
Participating in interclub golf offers member a whole new golfing experience and we would encourage as many members as possible to put themselves forward for selection to one of the various team panels. The Interclub team is a great chance to meet new people, make new friends and experience one of the few opportunities that golf offers as a team sport.
The Ladies and Men’s Committee have entered the following Interclub Competitions in 2024 which allow ladies and men in all handicap categories to participate.

Ladies Overall Team Manager (Mary Dowling) update
Mary McKenna
A most exciting evening of golf went all the way to the 19th on Wednesday 27th April after ten matches (five in Ballinascourney and five in Skerries). Skerries made a fantastic comeback only to lose on the 19th when the opposition sank an exceptionally long putt. Well done to all the players, the Team Manager Grainne O’Connor and her Assistant Catherine Noone.
Fingal Seniors
Skerries played the first of six matches against The Island on Monday 25th April. The Island won 6 points and Skerries 2 points. The next match is against Elm Green on the 30th April.

Sunday 1st May – Junior Foursomes v Ardee. 2 matches away at 3 pm and one match in Skerries at 15.45pm.
Saturday 7th May – Intermediate Cup v Co Louth. 3 matches at home and 2 away at 3.30pm.
Sunday 8th May – Senior Cup v Dundalk. 3 matches at home and 2 away at 3.30 pm.
Spring League
The 3rd Round is underway and is due to be completed by 30th April. The two teams with the best aggregate points will go head to head in the Final.

Uden Cup
Skerries were just edged out of the competition by the current Uden Cup holders The Island with wins of 3 matches to 2. Well done to all the players and manager Gerry Lloyd.

Following some great matches it all came down to the finals today where the home team, Ashbourne, pipped Skerries by a point to claim bragging rights until next year.
Well done to all involved under the steady stewardship of vice-captain Trudy Henry.
Vice-Captain, Trudy Henry’s, team enjoyed another great day in Corrstown Golf Club where they came away worthy 3:2 winners. Well done to all.
